About Elizabeth:
K. Elizabeth McDonald, PhD, LPC, created This Time Is for You to support people during seasons of transition, reflection, and change. Her work centers on creating thoughtful spaces where individuals can pause, reconnect with themselves, and move forward with clarity and intention.
Elizabeth’s background in counseling, adult learning, and leadership shapes a coaching approach grounded in deep listening, curiosity, and care. She brings both intellectual rigor and a human-centered perspective to conversations about purpose, growth, and what comes next—meeting people where they are, without pressure to rush or reinvent.
In addition to her coaching work, Elizabeth is the author of This Time Is for You and the host of the podcast This Toast Is for You, where she shares stories of kindness, courage, and meaningful change. She has spent her career working alongside people navigating complex life circumstances—from higher education and skills training to community-based work with marginalized populations—and has supported adult learners since 2010.
Outside of her professional work, Elizabeth finds joy in LEGO, red balloons, baking bread, and fostering assistance dogs-in-training. She holds a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision from Penn State, is a licensed professional counselor, and has completed an ICF-accredited Life Coach Foundations program. She also completed half of an MBA before realizing her joy matters just as much as her credentials.
